                                                ABSTRACT
This
research work was designed to critically examine the problems and prospects of
poultry production and marketing in Epe 
Local Government Area of Lagos State. The study focuses on the nature,
problems, impacts, challenges and prospects of production and marketing in
Nigeria, using Agriculture outfit (poultry farms) in Epe Local Government. The
project draws its population from the management and employees of the selected
poultry farms, structured questionnaire was adopted in collecting data from respondents
and also in analyzing, interpreting the data, simple percentage method was
used. In view of the statement of the problem stated, about 58% agreed that
finance play a crucial role in the growth and development of poultry production
and marketing. Also, 65% accepted that economic analysis has a good impact on
productivity and realization of business objectives in poultry production and
marketing. And 60% indicated that the survival of poultry production is a
function of suitable market. Finally, recommendations are made for government
and business owners to encourage the growth of poultry production and marketing
through numerous programmes, financial assistance and policies that brings
changes into the business so as to meet the needs of the societies which keep
changing
